Frequently Asked Questions About Vein Disorders
How does blood circulate back into my heart after varicose vein treatment?
The backward flow of blood in varicose veins actually interfere with the normal venous return of blood. Removal of these areas of abnormal circulation actually improve circulation of blood in the treated area. It is this improvement in limb circulation that causes improvement of tiredness, heaviness in the limb, or other associated symptoms.

When treatment is aimed at getting rid of symptoms, you should feel results between one week and one month after the procedure, depending on your disease, the degree of faulty valves, and what kind of treatment is needed. Cosmetic results may vary, depending on how extensively the abnormal veins have spread and how many treatments are required. This will be discussed in detail at the time of your appointment.
